Cheese Tasting 101
May 24th, 2010
If you’re the slightest bit intimidated by the wide array of cheeses available today, a tasting is a great way to familiarize yourself with a variety of products and choose some favourites. While cheese tasting involves all the senses, it really
comes down to taste. And taste is personal, so there is no right or wrong. To get the most from a tasting experience, keep these things in mind:
– For the fullest flavour, let a cheese come to room temperature before tasting.
– Use a toothpick or fork instead of your fingers to pick up each cheese to prevent lingering scents and flavours.
